I am a friendly and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys teaching English at all levels, with a primary focus on communication.

I always feel the best lessons are those that involve plenty of interaction based around topics that the students are interested in, ideally enabling them to remain engaged and enjoy their learning experience. As Head of English at Meirinkan, I wanted the teachers I recruited to share this philosophy, so that students were always involved, even when presenting difficult target language or focussing on an a particular area of grammar. I feel overall I have been successful in planning, scheduling and delivering language courses to meet the development needs of students looking to quickly and accurately improve their language skills. I am experienced in teaching one-on-one Business English classes to executives and business owners looking to grow or diversify their company, but also have plenty of experience in helping students to prepare for globally recognised English exams, including IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL. At Yokkaichi High School in Japan, one of my primary responsibilities was to coach students individually, so that they could pass entrance exams for several of the best universities in their country and overseas.
