Advert description
Hi, I'm Zain! I’m currently studying for a PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Cambridge. Prior to starting my doctorate, I spent a year working as an engineer between my undergraduate and master’s studies at Airbus, and completed internships with both the European Space Agency and the UK Space Agency. These roles allow me to bring real-world insight into mathematical ideas, helping students understand how the skills they learn are applied in engineering, science and practical problem-solving.
I’m a patient and structured tutor who focuses on building a strong foundation and in-depth understanding of topics. During my lessons, I break concepts down clearly, explain the reasoning behind each method, and use step-by-step examples to help students build confidence and work independently. A typical lesson includes a short recap, a clear explanation of the topic, guided examples, and past-paper or exam-style questions to strengthen technique and familiarity.
I have tutored GCSE Maths for several years alongside my studies and am familiar with the major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I adapt my teaching approach to each student’s goals, pace and preferred learning style, ensuring we cover essential content as well as exam technique. I find tutoring rewarding, and I genuinely enjoy seeing students make steady, measurable progress. I look forward to supporting your learning!
