Maths GCSE and A-Level tutoring from a Physics and Biology Graduate

Hey everyone!

I have recently graduated from University of Bath with a first class degree in Natural Sciences. Throughout university I took modules in maths, physics and biology. As a result I understand the difficulties in learning new concepts within these disciplines. In my degree, I studied Astrophysics, Quantum Mechanics, Cell Biology, Applied Maths, and the list goes on. Surprisingly I still used all the knowledge I gained in my A Levels and GCSEs. Hence I would feel great satisfaction from helping someone else out on their next steps in education.

Additionally I have two years of tutoring experience of online sessions. In this, I designed my sessions around my tutees’ needs by keeping them focussed to their most challenging topics. We will revisit previous exam topics to further solidify understanding.

I am familiar with OCR, AQA and Edexcel exam boards, as I took these myself and helped other students with them.

A typical session is based around them trying out exam based questions and pinpointing how to improve on getting more marks and knowledge on the given topic. I am a big believer in active recall which comprises of actively working through exam questions with them. I have a touch screen laptop to help draw out maths answers.
Sometimes there are just some topics that are hard to get to grips with but thats where I come in! I will provide engaging and worthwhile sessions so you can improve in your subject at school. I can be a helping hand so you know you are on the right track.
