UK School English Tutor for Students Whose First Language Is Not English

I help students whose first language is not English feel more confident with UK school English.

Many of my students can speak English in daily life, but school English is a different challenge. They may understand ideas in class, but struggle to turn those ideas into clear writing, strong vocabulary, accurate sentences or GCSE-style answers.

This can be frustrating for both students and parents. The student may be working hard, but still feel behind. Parents may worry that their child is bright, but not showing it clearly in English.

I am a TEFL-certified English tutor with 8+ years of online teaching experience. I started by teaching English as a foreign language, then moved into supporting EAL and bilingual students living in the UK.

That background matters. I understand language learning, but I also understand what UK school English requires.

My lessons are clear, structured and practical. I find the real gap, explain the skill simply, model what a stronger answer looks like, and help the student practise until they improve.

I have taught students from age 7 upwards. I support reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, literature, creative writing, analysis and GCSE English preparation.
