Hello! I am a student at the University of Bristol, studying Engineering Maths:) This really gives me a sense of pride, allowing me to see my work and efforts have a real positive impact. Taking exams is always stressful, even for those who breeze through it. I have found, almost every time, that you’re your own worst enemy, and the test is never as bad as it seems. Applying to University was the same. People have much higher expectations of themselves than needed, but a little bit of anxiety is always best to ensure you’re being the best version of yourself. Before University, during my A-Levels, I privately tutored many students, across numerous subjects. I continued tutoring online throughout University, bringing me here! This proved challenging at times, for the student and myself, although consistency always won and the students were always so happy and proud of themselves for reaching grades they never thought possible. Aside from my studies, I enjoy drumming, going to the gym and being a member of my university's RAF Air Squadron. When it comes to tutoring you (or your child) we will usually start with a light starter to get the brain working, focusing on a recap from previous lessons (or a general introduction). Then the main chunk of the lesson will be focused on individual issues, new material, or problem solving; ending with a summary and a short quiz to recap. I hope to help you improve in both grades and confidence, allowing you to see that you’re much smarter and more amazing than you've originally believed to be. Can’t wait to meet you:)
