Advert description
I am a current first year student at the University of Bristol, reading Computer Science. I have a significant background in teaching and tutoring, as I worked as a teacher's assistant for the entire duration of my gap year, specialising in assisting students who found certain parts of the course more tricky, and finding simpler ways of breaking down problems. As well as that, I tutored many students in Mathematics specifically, improving grades by as much as 20% in GCSE practice tests. I can help students with exam preparation/practice, or general revision of any part of the mathematics curriculum that they are studying.
My teaching philosophy is to teach the student to decompose problems into more manageable parts, and to recognise patterns within problems. Most of mathematics is simply combining the solutions of subproblems into one larger solution (hence the granularity of marking schemes) and as soon as the student recognises such patterns within problems, nearly all of school level mathematics becomes a simple process.
I pride myself on being amiable and welcoming, as well as exceptionally patient. If there is a problem or worry, we can work through it together! No need to fear at all.
Don't hesitate to get in contact, always happy to chat and I hope to help you in an effective manner.
