Hello! My name is Jake. I am a PhD student at the University of Bristol. I have been working in education and childcare for 10+ years. I believe education is a unique and personal journey, so I will always listen to the needs of my students and do everything I can to make sure learning is interesting and exciting! I love discovering what makes a student tick and planning lessons around their interests. I have worked in primary schools, secondary schools and in outdoor education, so have many tools for engaging students of any age in their learning process!

I am a Cambridge certified English Language instructor, and am knowledgeable about various curriculums, and techniques for exam preparation. I received 120 marks out of 120 in my English A-Level, and am excited to share this knowledge of exam strategies with my students.

I am a writer and avid-reader of both fiction and non-fiction. I am a hiker and cyclist who recently rode 3000km across Central America. I am also a musician and music producer. These interests can enter as much or as little into the educational space as needed, depending on the interests of the student!
