Enthusiastic and friendly native English tutor with over 30 years' experience teaching English and Creative Writing

I love teaching one-to-one so I can tailor each session to students' individual needs, whether that requires adjustments for neurodivergence or an extra emphasis on play to make learning fun again. I help students learn and build on their strengths as well as develop new skills that give them greater confidence and success in reading, writing, and communication. I aim to be consistently helpful and supportive so students look forward to our sessions together and always come away feeling enthused and capable. I have taught people from the age of 12 into their seventies privately as well as in further and higher education and have a BA, MFA, MA and PhD.
