Double Bass Lessons | Upright Bass Lessons

I offer in-person and online double bass lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced players.

My focus is helping you play music with others as quickly as possible – building timing, confidence, tone, and real-world bass lines.

I'm Lawrie, a professional upright bassist specialising in bluegrass, folk, and acoustic music. I'm currently the bass player with Old Baby Mackerel, and I also perform regularly with blues, jazz, folk, and function bands across the UK and Europe. I regularly play between 70–100 gigs a year.
