English Tutoring for GCE Exams: Student-Led Approach to Analyzing Texts and Building Understanding

Master's Degree graduate with a keen interest in English, hoping to help out with tough exams. I hope to teach you not only what the right thing to say on a paper is, but also how to come to your own conclusions and take a text apart. I usually work by finding areas of a story or poem that particularly interest me, and then looking at the larger context of their use - why has the author gone with this specific image or metaphor? Because of this, I work in a more student-led way, taking the sections that you find interesting in a text and then seeing if we can bring a larger, more interesting reading out of them.
