Passionate Italian teacher

Advert description
I have been immersed in the teaching sector for around 5 years, maturing experience with students from all over the globe. Starting in 2016 with a part-time internship at Torre di Babele, Rome, in 2017 I was awarded the role of Language Assistant at Peregian Beach College, Queensland, Australia. In 2018, my career saw meaningful progress by securing the opportunity to teach Italian to Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN advisers. Currently I am freelancing by both holding private classes and I collaborated with various schools around London. Students range from many different ages, backgrounds, and levels (from CEFR A1 to C2, adolescents to seniors).

While being a native Italian speaker, I currently hold a Ditals II qualification specifically tailored to teach Italian to non-natives. Moreover, I also obtained a Master's Degree in Medieval, Modern and Contemporary History in 2015, with the highest score possible (110/110 cum laude, equivalent to A+). This has also been enriched by an Erasmus/Exchange opportunity at Newcastle University, an experience I still hold dear to my heart.

In addition to my experience and qualification, my level of motivation and ability to generate quality lesson plans has been thoroughly recognised by clients and partners. A deep understanding of student needs has always been an integral part of my teaching method, and this has widely helped and improved overall satisfaction and student acquisition to schools and organisations.

As a teacher I am profoundly committed to teach but mostly learn, and I am always ready to roll up my sleeves towards the improvement of myself and others: the absolute final goal of teaching. My aim is to get students passionate about Italian not only as a language, but as lifestyle, culture and a constellation of soft skills which help people in the long term and make my courses memorable.

I have also trained a group of individuals for their B1 exam, which are required for obtaining citizenship. The majority of them have successfully passed the exam under my guidance.
