Hello! I'm a qualified secondary English teacher offering personalised online tuition for students studying AQA GCSE English Language and Literature.

My qualifications include:
* First-class degree in English from Sussex University
* PGCE in Secondary English
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Enhanced DBS certificate

I have experience as a Teacher of English, specialising in supporting students working at Grades 3, 4 and 5 to build the confidence and skills needed to achieve a secure pass and beyond. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how to adapt my teaching to meet each student's individual needs. Helping my students gain confidence, master the core English skills, and achieve results they didn't think were possible remains one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.

Although this is my first time tutoring one-to-one online, I have loved teaching English in a state school and I'm looking forward to using that experience to support students on an individual basis. As I return to university to study Educational Psychology, I'm taking on a small number of tutees so I can continue doing what I enjoy most: helping students build confidence and succeed in GCSE English.

My teaching is calm, encouraging, and structured. I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, while also providing the challenge they need to make real academic progress.
