Hi, I am an experienced (and fun) CELTA personal tutor, and I look forward to empowering you in the English language with clear results.
Whether you are a native or non-native speaker, my individual coaching and six-session courses will be 100% tailored to your specific needs - and you will have the option to help plan and design your sessions to get the most out of every class.

Joanna Lester-George in a nutshell

As a CELTA-tutor, actor, voice over artist and journalist, my warm and engaging teaching style is suitable for both native and non-native students. My goal as your personal tutor is to empower you with greater confidence and clarity in English - and always with your unique input to help tailor the course you need.

For non-native students at intermediate level and above, I use our first free introductory session to highlight and discuss key areas where improvement is needed - before creating a six week course just for you, and based around your own preferred topics of interest.

Individual coaching sessions, such as for a public speaking event, are fun confidence-building and practice classes which will leave you feeling much more confident and better prepared.

I also specialise in helping students improve their written English skills - whether for social media, business correspondence, or exam papers, I am here to help.

Known by my advanced students as the 'Queen of Idioms', I believe that grammar, tone, idioms, natural inflection and a wider vocabulary are the keystones of excellent spoken, written, business and conversational English.
