Experienced Spanish teacher specialising in Keystage 3 and 4

I am very versatile in my teaching approach and this would very much depend on the needs and preferences of my students.

I believe that the best ways to learn a language are through mixing several different approaches together and through as much immersion as possible. Therefore, I will always recommend and guide students towards additional resources, media, Spanish events etc. which they can access in between sessions to further improve their Spanish.

For primary school level, I like to teach in a fun and engaging way, through games, songs and conversations.

At secondary school level, I will still endeavour to make sessions engaging, but will include more grammar and focus on the 4 skills, as well as exam skills. I also give feedback during each session so that students are given the opportunity to address misconceptions.

For casual and adult learners, this will depend on the reason they would like to learn Spanish. I will plan lessons centred around this through different scenarios and conversations. We will focus on mainly listening, speaking and reading skills.
