Advert description
I'm a Year 13 student currently studying Chemistry, Biology, and Physics at A-Level, having recently gone through GCSE Science myself, so I know exactly where students get stuck and why textbooks often don't explain it the way you actually need to hear it.
My approach is built around breaking down exam-board mark schemes so you understand precisely what examiners are looking for, not just the theory in isolation. I focus on the topics that come up again and again in past papers (rates of reaction, genetics, electricity, forces) and work through them using worked examples first, then practice questions with immediate feedback, so mistakes get corrected before they become habits.
Because I'm still close to the GCSE experience myself, I can explain concepts in the way that actually helped me understand them at the time, not in overly academic language that can make simple ideas feel harder than they are. I'm patient, methodical, and happy to go over a topic multiple times in different ways until it genuinely sticks, rather than just moving on because "we covered it already."
Lessons typically include a quick recap of your weakest areas, a focused explanation with examples, then timed practice questions mimicking real exam conditions, followed by a walkthrough of where marks were gained or lost. I also help with revision technique and exam strategy (time management, command words, common trap answers) since a lot of GCSE Science marks are lost to technique issues rather than knowledge gaps.
Whether you're aiming to move from a grade 4–5 up to a 7+, or already strong but wanting to lock in top grades, I'll tailor sessions to your specific exam board and current weak spots.
