Qualified and experienced English language teacher for adults, with over 15 years’ experience in ESOL, EAL, and online teaching

I am a qualified and experienced English language teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching adults in ESOL, EAL, and online learning contexts. I hold Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE in English, UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and TEFL certification, as well as four years of formal training in Educational Psychology.
My lessons are learner-centred, supportive, and practical. I strongly believe that people learn best when they feel safe, understood, and confident, so I focus on building a relaxed and encouraging learning environment. Lessons are carefully structured but flexible, adapting to your goals, pace, and interests.
I mainly use communicative language teaching methods, which means lessons are interactive and focused on real-life communication. We work on speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence, always linked to meaningful situations such as work, travel, everyday life, or study needs. I also place a strong emphasis on needs analysis, so lessons are tailored specifically to what you want to achieve.
I have extensive experience working with learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including learners who may feel anxious, lack confidence, or have had difficult experiences with education in the past. My background in educational psychology helps me support learners in a patient, inclusive, and trauma-aware way.
