Sobaan Mohammed

Hello,

Thank you for visiting my profile!

My name is Sobaan, and I am a dedicated GCSE English tutor offering interactive, high-impact 1-to-1 online tuition.

About me:
- Experienced tutor since 2021
- Former Assistant SENCO in a secondary school
- Currently a Doctoral student in the field of educational psychology

Lessons are conducted live online using interactive digital whiteboards where we work on texts together in real time. Rather than passive listening, my sessions focus heavily on active strategy, unpicking mark schemes, mastering essay structures, and perfecting line-by-line exam technique for AQA GCSE English Language and Literature.

You can expect from me:

- Shared digital notes and resources stored in one place for easy revision.
- Access to an extensive library of past papers, mark schemes, and model answers.
- Line-by-line feedback on practice essays between sessions to track steady progress.

Whether your child is aiming for a Grade 7–9 or working to build confidence and secure a strong pass, I tailor every session to their specific target areas.

PROVEN RESULTS:
Average increase in English Language: +1.00
Average increase in English Literature: +1.33
Students who made progress: 89%
Students who achieved passes: 100%
Students who achieved grades 7+: 38% (vs 22% national average)

(Data is taken from the 25-26 academic year.)

Note: I can only help with the AQA exam board. For Literature, I can help with Macbeth, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, An Inspector Calls, and Love and Relationships poetry.

Feel free to send me a message to discuss your child's goals or check current slot availability!
