Multi instrumentalist offering tailored teaching

I am a multi instrumentalist with my main instruments being the accordion, piano, saxophone, guitar, and tenor horn / baritone. I originally learnt music classically so can teach how to read music and music theory, and in later life have learnt to play by ear, which is entirely self taught. I find that having learnt both avenues has been incredibly useful as a musician and is how I recommend learning to my students.

However, I will ensure lessons are tailored to the individual student, whether that is wanting a very structured approach or a more relaxed method. The most important thing is understanding yourself as a student; your learning style and your motivations. Once we have this figured out we can come up with a style of learning that feels fun and intuitive for you.

I have an ability to play almost any instrument, a skill which comes from understanding how to learn. As such I can offer beginner lessons on any instrument, which would be the format of us figuring it out together using my experience and knowledge of musical theory. I can offer more advanced lessons on the piano and accordion.
