Back in 2016, I hit a brick wall trying to start my history college education after I retired from my working career. Between history being dropped as a major in most colleges and the pandemic, I literally had no place to go to continue with my studies. Then I found a book online titled "Japan At War: 1931-45" written by author/historian David McCormack in the UK. So, I contacted Mr. McCormack via email inquiring about options to continue my studies. I have now enjoyed ten years of online video chat history sessions. Plus, Mr. McCormack has lifted the benchmark with my teachings that I could have never accomplished attending colleges in the USA. I am so fortunate to have been taken "under his wing" with my studies with a fun atmosphere quality that is not the usual of a college classroom. I am now a volunteer at the Oregon Military Museum and I always try to "win the crowd" as David has taught me for visitors to have a more accurate and fun understanding of historical events.
