I give piano and music lessons and am an expert in music theory, performance, composition, orchestration and arranging

I am both a highly experienced professional musician and music teacher with almost 20 years experience teaching at all levels and ages, from primary schools right up to third level education (BIMM Dublin). My primary instrument is piano/keyboard, playing in all styles of music, from classical and jazz, to pop, rock, folk, indie and blues. I have played worldwide with artists such as Hozier, MIKA and Villagers to name but a few.

As head of music theory at BIMM Institute Dublin, I designed and developed both undergraduate and diploma courses while overseeing quality and achievement across each programme.

While in Jam Music Factory and within my private teaching practice, my pedagogical philosophy is to hone in on what music the student already knows and loves, and to design my lessons in a tailored way so that their musical development revolves around their idiosyncrasies as a music lover.
