Experienced science teacher & tutor offering GCSE & A level tutoring

I have more than 20 years classroom experience, teaching all 3 sciences to GCSE, Biology & Chemistry to A level & IB Diploma level as well as Level 3 Applied Science. I am a former head of Chemistry & Biology and a former lead internal verifier for Applied Science. Since taking semi retirement in 2019 I have been working as a school based tutor, working both 1:1 and with small groups. Tutoring young adults through such difficult times has been such a privilege. There is genuinely nothing better than watching the light bulb moment when a pupil understands something that not so long ago seemed impossible. I am also a mum who has taken her children through GCSE's and A levels in the very recent past and I have first hand experience of how different children require a very different approach - this has definitely informed my tutoring and my approach.
