I am a calm and nurturing qualified teacher who enjoys helping children with their learning up to Nat 5 level for almost 15 years.

I always begin tutoring with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment so we can together create a targetted plan for ongoing sessions. I believe this is essential to gain an understanding of pupils knowledge, skills and learning styles while identifying gaps in understanding and barriers to learning. I have experience working across early, first and second level having worked as a primary school teacher across levels in many settings. I have in my role as a tutor supporting children to gain confidence in their learning. I have helped children to be successful in class, for entrance exams and provided help with homework. I have through private tutoring gained a wealth of experience working at third and fourth levels having successfully tutored many children through their Nat 4, Nat 5 apps and Nat 5 Numeracy exams. Having worked with children of all abilities and needs I am confident in using different programmes and approaches that work best for each individual child.
