Teaching English requires patience, I have to anticipate that English may be something familiar to me it may not be for my tutee.

During my time at University, I have participated in group work. During this experience I was able to work on my teamwork skills, where we were able to identify each persons strengths to see which role they would be best suited for. This can translate to being a tutor due to the fact the relation between tutor and tutee is akin to that of a team. As a tutor it is my job to assess the best way to teach my tutee to ensure we achieve the most progress. During my time working at Rashid and Co Solicitors my communication skills were developed. Being the first point of contact for prospective clients meant I learnt how to be a welcoming voice. Being a tutor I must be a welcoming voice to my tutee to ensure I create an environment where they feel comfortable.
