I have experience of teaching online lessons for pupils who struggle to engage and will not communicate verbally. I have designed my lessons so that they are fully differentiated and scaffolded and the pupils receive individual and private feedback to support their progress. This has encourages participation as the pressure of interacting verbally has been eliminated. I also have experience of teaching small groups who are willing to engage verbally.
