I provide specialist online AS and A-Level Biology and Chemistry tuition across all major UK exam boards, including AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and WJEC.

I have over 5 years of tutoring experience and have taught hundreds of lessons to students across a wide range of abilities, from students who need to rebuild their understanding from the foundations to those aiming for A/A* grades.

I hold an MSci in Biomedical Science from the University of Manchester and I am currently completing a PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham. Biology and Chemistry are therefore not simply subjects I tutor; they form a major part of my academic and research background.

My lessons focus on three things:

• Understanding the content – breaking difficult topics down step-by-step until they genuinely make sense.

• Exam technique – learning how to approach exam questions, interpret command words and understand exactly what examiners are looking for.

• Confidence – helping students become comfortable tackling challenging questions independently rather than immediately assuming they cannot do them.

Every student learns differently, so my lessons are tailored to the individual. If something doesn't make sense, I will explain it in a different way and we can go over it as many times as necessary. There is never a silly question in my lessons!

For students with gaps in their knowledge, we can systematically work through the specification from the foundations upwards. For students already achieving strong grades, lessons can instead focus heavily on higher-level application, difficult exam questions and the techniques needed to push towards A/A*.

I regularly incorporate past-paper questions, mark schemes and examiner expectations so students learn not only the science itself, but how to communicate their knowledge in the way required to gain marks.
