ESOL/French tutor to adults and young children

Advert description
I have a degree in Tesol and French and a PGCE. I have been teaching ESOL at Blackburn college for over 3 years and online for over 2 years. I also teach French.
I have been teaching ESOL at Blackburn College since December 2019. I currently teach ESOL and Functional Skills English to pre-Entry and level 2 students. In addition to this, I am personal tutor to a group of pre-Entry young learners. As an ESOL teacher and personal tutor to my pre-Entry young learners, I have tutorials with each of them every week to make them aware of their progress, to discuss things such as prevent, cyber-bullying, health and safety and safeguarding. I keep it basic because of their language level.

Whilst completing my PGCE at Blackburn College, I taught ESOL to a variety of adults at Entry 2 and Level 1 as a trainee teacher. My students had different abilities and came from different backgrounds. This included refugees, migrants and students who could not find a job because of their language level. With diverse classes, differentiation was crucial to ensure all students reached their full potential. I planned and delivered effective lessons, completed registrations, assessed and tracked progression of the students and worked with my mentor to ensure students received effective feedback to help them develop further in their skills. Helping my learners was quite rewarding as I could see progress every time. Towards the end of the year, I could see major improvement in their language skills, most of them were able to gain employment, their confidence had grown massively, and they were more enthusiastic about the future than they did when starting the course.
