Hello, I’m Natsumi! I’m a native Japanese tutor from Japan with a background in software testing, and I currently work as a freelance translator while volunteering with a sailing association. I also taught Japanese in Dublin last year, which was a wonderful experience.

I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and making lessons relaxed, engaging, and tailored to each student’s goals and interests. Whether you want to improve conversation skills, prepare for travel, study for exams, or simply enjoy learning Japanese, I’ll support you at your own pace.

As someone who has studied both English and Mandarin, I understand the challenges of learning a new language. Because of this, I like to focus on practical communication and natural conversation to help students build confidence and improve smoothly.

Outside teaching, I love anime — especially Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End — and I’m a big fan of sci-fi and horror. I also enjoy travelling and exploring different foods and cultures.

In my lessons, I enjoy sharing interesting aspects of Japanese culture as well, from everyday life and seasonal traditions to food, travel tips, and modern culture, so you can experience not only the language but also the culture behind it.
