Advert description
I am an experienced secondary school Geography teacher with nearly 10 years of classroom experience. I have extensive experience teaching GCSE Geography and preparing students for their exams, with a strong track record of achieving excellent outcomes.
In my most recent GCSE cohort, 75% of my students achieved grades 7–9 in Geography, reflecting my focus on both developing strong subject knowledge and teaching students how to apply that knowledge effectively in exams.
I understand that GCSE Geography can be challenging, with students expected to remember a wide range of content, case studies and geographical processes while also applying their knowledge to unfamiliar situations and extended exam questions.
My approach is tailored to each student. Whether they are struggling with particular topics, unsure how to use case studies, finding longer exam questions difficult, or aiming to push from a grade 6 to a 7, 8 or 9, I focus on identifying exactly what they need to improve and giving them the tools to do it.
As a current teacher, I have a clear understanding of GCSE exam requirements and what examiners are looking for in high-quality answers. My aim is to make lessons supportive and engaging while helping students become more confident, independent and successful Geographers.
