I am passionate about teaching French and helping students gain the confidence they need to communicate in everyday situations. My lessons are designed specifically for beginners who want to learn how to speak French naturally and comfortably. Before beginning lessons, I take the time to understand each student's individual goals, interests and current level of French. I identify what the student would like to achieve, whether that is being able to introduce themselves in French, have simple conversations while travelling, communicate with French-speaking friends or family, or simply feel more confident speaking the language. I then personalise my teaching approach based on the information gathered. For beginners, I create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable speaking French without being afraid of making mistakes. Making mistakes is a natural and important part of learning a language, so I encourage students to practise as much as possible. My aim is to help students gradually develop their confidence while building a useful foundation in French. Conversation is at the heart of my lessons. I introduce practical vocabulary and expressions that students can use in real-life situations. Depending on the student's objectives, we may practise greetings and introductions, ordering food in a restaurant, shopping, asking for directions, talking about family and hobbies, discussing daily routines, making plans or having simple conversations about familiar topics. I encourage students to participate actively rather than simply listening to me, because speaking regularly is one of the best ways to develop confidence. Pronunciation is also an important part of my teaching. I help students improve the way they pronounce French words and sounds so that they can communicate more clearly and be better understood.
