Each Lesson - We begin with a starter to engage your brain; then move onto the main focus of each lesson. I would explain the focus, modelling as the lesson proceeds to demonstrate what we need to achieve. Once you - referring to the student - feels more adept in that subject area, we usually would complete exercises together; gradually increasing in difficulty, working towards mastering the subject. This could take one lesson or a series of lessons, depending on the individual. The aim is that you work independently and can then demonstrate your proficiency either via completing homework exercises and/or past papers.
Homework is not mandatory, but if you complete it, in my experience, you will progress more effectively.
I have been a teacher for 28+ years and have been tutoring for much of this time, working for a company and teaching online since 2021.
