Tutoring for Grade 7-Algebra 2. Interactive explainations and step by step guidance

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from SUNY Brockport (NY State) and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

I have tutored for 18 years in before/after school programs, online, and through community service agencies.

I have presented at District, Regional, and State math conferences on topics related to helping teachers break down material and relate it to skills the student has already mastered to show them it is only an extention of known skills and not something new (taking the fear away).

I teach languaged based math which measn I use analogies and stories to help the student understand how to do the skill and why we do what we do. I also help them understand and remember vocabulary by helping breakig down the vocanulary to obtain a meaningful definition.

When applicable, I use memory tricks and hand gestures to help the student remember concepts and vocabulary meanings.
