Advert description
After graduating with first-class honours for both my BSc and MSc, I earned my PhD in mathematical physics from Durham University. During my doctoral research, I taught undergraduate students as a university tutor, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Currently, I work as a machine learning scientist. In my day-to-day job, I regularly translate high-level mathematics into actionable concepts for colleagues with less technical backgrounds.
My long-term ambition is to transition fully into online education while travelling across Europe. Because this is my ultimate goal, I am deeply invested in building long-term, dedicated partnerships with my students, serving as a reliable pillar of support throughout their academic journey.
When I’m not training statistical models or teaching, you can usually find me outdoors enjoying nature.
P.S. Curious about my academic publications? You can check out my research on ResearchGate (search for Floris ter Braak). Feel free to send me a message if you'd like a direct link!
