Advert description
I am proud to have made a huge amount of difference in many students English language training. I put myself in their shoes to truly understand the pain points and how I can assist them in their work to achieve excellence. Whether it be for an exam, for an essay, or for just improving the language, I put together a clear set of goals that help students on the path towards achieving their end goal. I have had the experience of teaching at Wall Street English and English First in China and in Switzerland with Supercomm Languages.
Having lived and worked in China for many years, as well as in numerous other countries, my experiences have taught me that everyone learns English in their own unique ways and at different speeds. As a father of two young children, I know how natural language learning methodology works, and I apply this tried and tested natural language learning methodology to provide a truly unique tailored approach to watching, listening, and speaking, and repeating. It's important for me to build a rapport with students early on so that they feel comfortable in their learning environment and in communicating with me. Building trust and credibility is very important at the heart of my teaching.
While it's necessary to put key English foundations in place during each new lesson, I believe that using visuals, audio and stimulating exercises is important for keeping students engaged, again utilising the natural language learning methodology. I'm also a big believer in memory cues that will enable students to continually check back on the concepts they are learning. A tutor should also have the ability to create lessons using real-life references and examples - I help students get more involved with day-to-day scenarios to help them relate to their learning.
I take pride in being a patient, dynamic and empathetic tutor - I encourage students to think for themselves and will never criticise anyone for giving it their best shot. I have seen that my enthusiasm for teaching rubs off on my students to help them reach their full potential. I understand that learning a second language can be a daunting experience for children, but I work tirelessly to make sure that English class is something that my students look forward to!
