As a dedicated and experienced language educator, I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals and develop a love for learning the Spanish language. With a degree in French and Spanish, a PGCE in MFL, and extensive experience teaching at various levels, I am well-equipped to provide engaging and personalized learning experiences for my students.

Over the past 5 years, I have honed my skills as an online Spanish tutor, using technology to create interactive and enjoyable lessons that cater to the diverse needs of my students. In addition, my 8 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language has allowed me to develop an understanding of how to address linguistic barriers and motivate learners from various backgrounds.

As a qualified DELE examiner for levels A1-B2 and with DELE B2 and C1 certifications, I am knowledgeable about the requirements and expectations of language proficiency examinations. This experience allows me to provide tailored guidance and support for students preparing for such tests.

My teaching approach emphasizes conversation practice, building confidence, and utilizing flipped classroom methodologies. By incorporating technology and innovative learning tools, I strive to keep my students motivated and engaged throughout their language learning journey.

Having volunteered in Cambodia and Tanzania and worked in immersive English language summer camps in England and Italy, I have gained valuable insights into working with people from diverse backgrounds. This experience has allowed me to develop a culturally sensitive and adaptive teaching style that resonates with students from all walks of life.

As a language teacher myself I can say that I learned a lot from Matt. He was engaging, interactive, the lesson was well structured and he kept it moving, plus it was always relevant. He gave me plenty of speaking time, as a total beginner I found that great and at the end he went over my mistakes and made sure I was satisfied with the pronunciation which is very important in the beginning. He also made me seem at home and confident using the language. Looking forward to the next lesson and as a language teacher I can highly recommend Matt!

Hoy voy a escribir en español mi comentario para que todos aquellos que este buscando un profesor de ingles se apunten con Matt. Desde hace tiempo llevo dando tumbos de un profesor a otro y ninguno conseguía despertar en mi las ganas por continuar con la difícil tarea de aprender un idioma, me sentía frustrada y desanimada, incapaz de superar mi objetivo sin alguien que me guiara con un buen método y pasión por enseñar, pero encontré a Matt y junto a él he podido volver a sentirme animada y con ganas de aprender y sobre todo progresar, es muy fácil quedarse estancado en un nivel y no avanzar, y muchas veces tirar la toalla, pero ahora se que puedo y con la ayuda y preparación de Matt se que lo conseguiré.
