Advert description
About Me
As a Psychology graduate, I have a strong interest in how children learn and develop. I am passionate about supporting pupils academically while helping them grow in confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
Experience
I have experience supporting pupils with a range of abilities, both in and out of the classroom. As well as several years’ experience in primary, I also have experience in high school settings, making me aware of what pupils need to know before moving on to the next stage of their education and allowing me to provide targeted support where it is needed most.
I have also created and delivered individualised literacy and numeracy interventions, helping pupils strengthen key skills, close learning gaps, and build confidence in their abilities. My background in Psychology helps me understand how different pupils learn and allows me to adapt my approach to suit each individual.
I also have several years’ experience supporting learners through tutoring. Whether it be helping pupils confidence improve, or bridging gaps in attainment.
My Approach
I believe that every pupil learns differently, so I tailor my sessions to the individual. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where pupils feel confident asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
Whether a pupil needs support with core skills, help building confidence, an extra challenge to reach their potential or a boost during the summer holidays, I focus on making learning positive, engaging, and rewarding.
