Hi, my name is Zoe, and I would love the opportunity to prove to you the unthinkable... studying English can be fun and rewarding.
Through building confidence and encouraging interesting conversations, I will prove to you that literature is not only more enjoyable than you think, but also more accessible.
My preferred method of teaching is through discussion based activities, which would likely entail us reading through a passage together and dissecting it together, in order to fine tune crucial skills of analysis and interpretation. I also like to consider conversations under the framework of potential essays plans, and create an environment where essay planning becomes second nature, and an in-built part of the way in which students approach texts.
Lessons will include discussions, critical thinking, writing technique, planning essays, going through written essays, but fundamentally progress starts with the development of a kind of original thought that the classroom can neglect.
