I have recently defended my PhD thesis in Human Geography and Urban Studies at LSE and have extensive experience in teaching and research in both the UK and South Africa, and I am seeking to pursue a career that combines research rich pedagogy with a clear commitment to inclusivity. More broadly, I have ten years’ experience in teaching and research that will be invaluable as your tutor.

My PhD gave me sustained experience in project management across London and Johannesburg, as well as exposure to additional qualitative methodologies, demonstrating my capacity to learn quickly and apply new methods. I engaged extensively with a range of stakeholders, developing robust professional relationships and practical skills in stakeholder management and project administration. This experience has stood me in good stead with supporting students as they embark on tackling complex problems through research-rich education. I have served as a GTA on six undergraduate level social science courses in both the UK and South Africa, where I ran seminars, assessed student work, and provided clear, constructive feedback.

I would be a skilled tutor in the social sciences (at GSCE and/or A-level), or essay and dissertation studying at social sciences studies at university level. I am skilled in both qualitative and quantitative approaches and proficient with NVivo, ArcGIS, SPSS, Salesforce and the Microsoft Office suite, and I learn new tools quickly. More broadly, I am a clear communicator, collaborative by disposition, meticulous, and a determined problem solver. Most importantly, I am committed to diversity and inclusion in teaching and research. I am excited by the opportunity to tutor students and enable them to perform at their full capacity.
