Maths is an enjoyable subject but can present problems when fundamental principles aren’t completely understood.

I aim to identify key core principles that students might be struggling with and addressing these first.

This is important as these often underpin difficulties that appear in more complex areas.

I like to let students try questions themselves with their own methods and thought patterns before giving input in to any areas they may have missed the mark on.

Maths can be a tough subject so It’s important to have fun whilst learning. Building confidence in your knowledge and trusting your abilities is really important in the higher mark questions.
