I am a history student at East China Normal University, Shanghai, and now in Manchester as an exchange student at UoM. Comfortable to communicate in both English and Chinese. As a native Chinese speaker and history student, I believe my Chinese language level is well above the average. I took many ancient and modern Chinese history modules and got good marks on all these modules. What’s more, I am very interested in language learning, so I know the skills which critically enhance the learning efficiency.

Apart from the academic trainings, I have earned practical experience before by tutoring a Chinese middle school student with his English courses. Initially, the boy was unwilling to learn English and failed to get good grades in tests. Therefore, I emphasized more on encourage him and delivered the tutor sessions with both repetitive practices and interesting British culture knowledge in an immersive English environment. In the meantime, I imparted him some study skills like effective note-taking and associative memorisation. Finally, he became much more interested in English language and got higher marks, and we made good friends with each other.
