My lessons are structured, engaging and fully personalised — built on 20 years of professional Chinese teaching experience across universities and schools in China, South Korea and the UK. I hold a Master’s in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Beijing Normal University, UK PGCE certification, plus Mandarin proficiency 1B, International Chinese Education Certification. I have taught learners aged 5 to adult, from absolute beginners to advanced levels, and specialise in total beginner course, HSK, YCT, GCSE, A-Level, business Chinese and heritage language support.

Each session follows a clear yet adaptable format: we open with a brief warm-up and quick review, then introduce new content using communicative and audio-lingual methods as core approaches — combining listening drills, pattern practice, real-life role-plays, situational dialogues and interactive tasks. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are developed in balance, with extra emphasis on your priorities: conversational fluency, exam technique, professional usage or reconnecting with your heritage.

I use visual aids, multimedia, songs, games and authentic examples to make learning vivid and intuitive. Errors are addressed gently with clear explanations and repeated practice, so you understand patterns rather than just memorising rules. We set small, achievable milestones and check progress regularly, adjusting pace or focus whenever you need. Whether one-to-one or small groups, I bridge Chinese and British educational contexts — helping you build solid skills and genuine confidence, step by step.
