I’m currently a first-year undergraduate Psychology student, and I’ve previously studied Psychology at both GCSE and A-level, so I have a strong understanding of the subject and what’s expected in exams. I know from experience that Psychology can feel like a lot to memorise, so I aim to make it more manageable and easier to understand.
My lessons are relaxed and tailored to each student. I like to break topics down into simple explanations and then build up from there, making sure everything is clear before moving on. I also focus a lot on exam preparation, including how to structure answers, use the right terminology, and apply knowledge effectively to different question types.
I often use active recall, practice questions, and discussion to help students stay engaged and actually remember what they’ve learned, rather than just memorising it short-term. I will encourage students to use new and strong techniques to strengthen their knowledge! I’m happy to tailor myself to the level of the needs of the student. I can go over anything students are struggling with, whether that’s specific topics, revision techniques, or exam confidence and dealing with exam anxiety.
As someone who has recently gone through GCSEs and A-levels, I understand the pressure students can feel and what works when it comes to revision. I try to keep lessons supportive and approachable so students feel comfortable asking questions.
My aim is to help students build confidence in Psychology and improve their performance, while keeping the learning process as stress-free as possible.
