I’m a professional artist with experience working in the animation industry, and I’m passionate about helping students of all levels build confidence in drawing and painting. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist looking to refine your skills, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are and help you grow. I really believe anyone can draw with a little guidance!
My teaching approach starts with the fundamental building blocks of drawing. We’ll focus on clear, practical exercises that develop strong observational, anatomy, and perspective skills. These foundations are essential for any style of art and provide the tools needed to branch out into whatever you'd like to try next! Lessons are structured but relaxed, with plenty of room for questions, exploration, and creative experimentation.
As your skills develop, we can dive into a variety of mediums, including pencil, ink, paint, pastels and even printing if you're interested! I enjoy helping students explore different techniques and discover which materials and styles suit them best. You might surprise yourself!
Because I work professionally in animation, I can also tutor students who are interested in the 2D animation industry. This includes digital or traditional animation, story-boarding, or visual development and design. However if you want to be taught digital art I unfortunately cannot provide the software. I can also offer portfolio guidance and advice on industry expectations.
Every student is different, so I’m always happy to tailor lessons around specific goals from improving fundamentals to preparing a portfolio, or simply enjoying the creative process.
