My Lessons Are Structured, Supportive, and Results-Driven
I'm an accounting student at the University of Westminster and an experienced GCSE tutor based in London. Previously, 80% of my students achieved grades 7–9 in their GCSE exams — and I use the same patient, step-by-step method with every new student.
How I teach: Each session starts with a quick check-in to see what's stuck and what's not. Then we break down tricky topics into small, clear chunks — no overwhelm, just progress. I use a mix of worked examples, guided practice, and independent problem-solving, followed by a short recap so you leave feeling confident.
What makes me different: I listen. I don't use a rigid script. If you learn better with visuals, we'll draw it out. If you need extra practice on algebra, we'll focus there. I also give honest feedback and track your improvement week by week — because small wins build real momentum.
A typical lesson format (online or in-person) looks like this:
· 5 min: review homework/previous topic and address any lingering confusion
· 20 min: introduce new concept with step-by-step examples
· 20 min: guided practice together (I watch, prompt, and correct gently)
· 10 min: independent practice with me nearby for support
· 5 min: recap key takeaways and set a small focus goal for next time
My experience beyond tutoring: As a Volunteer Police Cadet, I developed patience, clear communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure — skills that transfer directly to teaching. In my customer service role, I learned how to adapt to different people's needs quickly. I'm also an A-Level student representative, so I understand the school system from the inside.
Who I teach: GCSE Maths (foundation or higher — Edexcel, AQA, or OCR) and KS3 Maths. I'm also happy to help with GCSE preparation for English Literature & Language if needed, drawing from my own grade 7 achievements.
What you can expect from me:
· A calm, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome
· No judgement — just honest feedback and practical next steps
· Regular progress updates for you (and your parents, if you'd like)
· Flexible rescheduling if life gets busy
I'm not here to lecture. I'm here to help you understand maths in a way that actually sticks — so you walk into that exam feeling ready.
I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call to discuss your child's needs before the first paid session — no pressure, just a conversation to see if we're a good fit.
