In general, everything I teach needs to be relevant to the students’ environment, as students are the focal point of the teaching and learning process. Most of the time, it is a foreign language that the learner can’t pick up from his/her surroundings, Hence, I teach patiently and systematically so that the students become confident and can read, write and speak the language effortlessly. I employ following methods for effective learning:
1- Direct Method (Natural Approach) - focus lies heavily on speaking instead of grammar. Students are encouraged to learn naturally and instinctively.
2 - Communicative Language Teaching - focuses on teaching language through real-world assignments and problem-solving, it’s less concerned with grammar accuracy and instead focuses on fluency.
3 - Constructivist Methodology - students are given the freedom to explore new material on their own, which helps them better understand it.
Furthermore, I use a variety of other teaching methods such as visual aids, group work, and role-playing to keep students engaged, Incorporate real-life situations and cultural references into lessons to make them more relatable and continuously assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning.
