My Chinese lessons are structured, practical and supportive, with a strong focus on building confidence and real communication skills.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level and goals. For beginners, I focus on pronunciation (pinyin and tones), basic sentence structure, and everyday vocabulary. For intermediate and advanced learners, lessons may include conversation practice, listening and reading activities, and using Chinese in real-life or professional contexts.

I usually structure lessons into three parts:

1. a clear introduction to new language points,
2. guided practice through examples and conversation, and
3. relaxed speaking practice to help students use Chinese naturally and confidently.

I explain grammar in a simple and logical way, using clear English where helpful, and I always encourage students to ask questions. Lessons are friendly and interactive, and I adapt the pace depending on how comfortable the student feels.

With extensive teaching experience in the UK, I understand the common challenges English-speaking learners face when learning Chinese. My aim is to make Chinese feel approachable, enjoyable, and useful, while helping students make steady progress at their own pace.
