I am a young graduate with a degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology I have passed all my GCSEs and A Levels where I did subjects such as English Literature, Chemistry and Biology swell as a AS in Core Maths. Being a young person myself I feel I can explain complex scientific notions in a way which is more accessible than many of my peers.
In my personal experience in learning the best way to build understanding is via a variety of learning strategies for this reason I will employ a number of tools to really imprint knowledge in my student's brain these will be standard methods such as past paper questions and recommendations of texts that will provide context. I will also employ a number of less traditional methods such as quizzes mix and match, videos and the use of online tools such as Quizlet, Kahoot and more. The thing I found most important when taking My A Levels and University Level assessments was simply being able to ask questions about anything that I may be curious about or simply do not understand while many teachers simply aim to fulfil assessment criteria I aspire to develop an understanding of Science as a whole something which will benefit students as they progress in academia and will hopefully spark a natural curiosity to learn more and more as it did with myself.
While I would prefer to conduct most of my lessons online students based in the Manchester area can request in-person lessons if they feel it would benefit them more.
