I have around three years of experience teaching foreign languages and have also worked as a translator. Having studied English, Chinese, French, Russian, Latin, and Ancient Greek myself, I understand both the challenges of language learning and the most effective ways to overcome them.
My lessons are designed to help you use Japanese naturally in real-life situations, not simply memorise vocabulary or grammar rules. I believe that knowing a language and being able to communicate with it are two different things. That’s why every lesson combines clear explanations with plenty of opportunities to listen, speak, read, and write.
Rather than relying on long lectures, I encourage active participation through realistic conversations, role plays, pronunciation practice, and carefully structured exercises. We start with practical expressions, understand how and why they work, and then use them in new situations until they become natural. This approach helps you build confidence while developing accuracy, fluency, and communication skills at the same time.
Every lesson is tailored to your individual goals. Whether you’re preparing for the JLPT, GCSE or A-Level Japanese, planning a trip to Japan, improving your conversational skills, or simply learning for fun, I’ll create a personalised study plan that suits your pace and interests.
Throughout our lessons, you’ll receive immediate feedback on grammar, pronunciation, pitch accent, and natural expressions, allowing you to improve continuously instead of repeating mistakes. My aim is not only to help you pass exams, but to give you the confidence to communicate naturally and independently in Japanese.
I look forward to helping you discover not only the Japanese language, but also the culture, ways of thinking, and new opportunities that come with it.
