My name is Yusrah, and I'm a GCSE Sociology student currently working at a grade 6 level. I've studied Sociology for two years and have a deep understanding of the key theories – Functionalism, Marxism, Feminism, Interactionism – and the key studies that go with them.
I know that Sociology can feel overwhelming with all the theorists, research methods, and exam questions. My job is to make it simple. I break down complex ideas into clear, memorable chunks. I tailor every lesson to your specific exam board (AQA, OCR, or Edexcel) and focus on what actually gets you marks: exam technique, essay structure, and using evidence effectively.
I don't just teach content – I teach you how to think like a sociologist. We'll look at how theories apply to real life: education, crime, family, media. You'll learn how to evaluate perspectives, compare arguments, and write essays that impress examiners.
Beyond Sociology, I bring 18 months of experience volunteering with children aged 3–8, child psychology training, and peer mentoring experience. I'm patient, clear, and know how to explain things until someone truly understands. I've also been accepted into a Morgan Stanley STEM work experience programme, which shows I take my own learning seriously.
Lessons are online, relaxed, and tailored to you. I'll listen to what you're struggling with and build our sessions around that. No judgment. No pressure. Just clear, supportive tutoring that helps you grow in confidence.
Whether you're aiming for a high grade or just trying to pass, I'm here to help. Send me a message and we can arrange a first session.
