Yu Shi

I am a native Chinese speaker currently pursuing my master's degree of Translation Studies in the University of Leeds. I have a keen interest in languages, culture, and travel, and I am always excited to learn new things. In my leisure time, I love watching stand-up comedies as it helps me to relax and have a good laugh. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also worked as a freelance translator. My translation work has involved a variety of topics, such as business, legal, medical, and technical documents. As a language enthusiast, I have a deeper understanding of the language learning process and has helped me develop effective teaching strategies that cater to individual needs.

I have had extensive experience teaching Chinese to students from diverse backgrounds, including children, teenagers, and adults. My teaching methodology is based on the communicative approach, where the focus is on practical language usage. My goal is to help my students become proficient in Chinese and be able to use the language in real-life situations. I believe that language learning should be fun and engaging, and I always strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
