Yassine Chagna

Cybersecurity & Computer Science lecturer at University College Birmingham with hands-on experience across both higher and foundation education. I teach applied topics including security operations, cloud security (AWS), incident response, network and web-application penetration testing, and threat intelligence. Alongside lecturing, I have tutored students at Ascend Education & Training in IT security fundamentals, incident response, and secure system administration. My teaching style focuses on practical, real-world scenarios, helping students bridge the gap between theory and industry-ready skills. I also hold an MSc in Cyber Security (Distinction, Coventry University) and have published research on LLM-based cyberattack detection.
